2017 Summer Makerspace Internship – Monroeville Public Library

We are looking for someone who can bring innovation, creativity and energy to our Makerspace Internship program. During your internship, you will learn how to use our 3d printers, work with our Silhouette Cameo, Adobe design suite and coding programs. You will also be able to work with arts and crafts projects. As a part of the staff and volunteers at Monroeville Public Library, you will collaborate and work as a team while focusing on outreach to our community and documenting their experiences in the Create Space. You will instruct patrons on how to use technology and other Create Space Supplies as well as develop programs and partnerships to help improve the curriculum. You will have the opportunity to dive into what interests you and match that to our community needs. This is an unpaid internship.



Applicants must be enrolled in a Masters of Library Science program or have graduated within the last year.

Applicants must be available to work 10-20 hours per week for 8-12 weeks from June 5th, 2017 to August 25th, 2017.

Must have a working knowledge and interest of computers and technology and be able to learn quickly.

Be able to stand for extending periods of time. Be able to lift up to 20lb.

Be able to effectively communicate with staff and patrons.
