The Customer Service Representative charges and discharges library materials in accordance with established library policies and procedures; greets and directs library customers; processes new customer accounts and handles established accounts, including collecting fines and fees and recording monetary transactions. Fields in-person and telephone informational and directional questions from patrons. Extensive contact with the public. Excellent people skills and frequent smiling required.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes daytime, evening and weekend hours. This position includes occasional offsite work, so a valid PA driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle are required. This is a part-time 20 hour/week position with a starting rate of $10.51/hour, and includes paid sick leave, vacation and holidays.
Federal Criminal Background Check, PA Criminal Record Check and PA Child Abuse History Clearance and 10 year driving record required upon offer of employment. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes daytime, evening and weekend hours.
