Northland Public Library, a busy suburban library in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh, is seeking a part-time Donor Relations Coordinator to assist in the library development office and the Northland Public Library Foundation office.
The Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for management of the database system that tracks all individual, corporate and foundation donations and will also handle donor calls and inquiries, and general Foundation office management, including donor correspondence. The Donor Relations Coordinator will assist with fundraising activities, particularly special events, auctions, negotiating donations from businesses, and maintaining spreadsheets and documentation. Successful candidate must be accurate and well-organized, and be able to work independently and in a team environment with a diverse workforce and community. Ability to multi-task is a must.
Associate/Bachelor Degree in nonprofit management, communications/marketing, English or equivalent experience preferred. Strong computer skills, including word processing and database management–including experience with specialized fundraising software, is preferred. Experience in working with nonprofit organizations, including with fundraising and/or libraries, is a plus. This is a 12 hour/week position and the starting rate is $13.86 per hour. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes daytime, evening and weekend hours. Extra hours may be assigned in advance by the Director of Development/Foundation Director, especially as related to special events and yearly fundraising campaign deadlines.
