Millvale Community Library Gets Connected

Welcome to the Millvale Community Library – the newest Member of the Allegheny County Library Association. In July the Library “went live” on the online catalog, joining the other 45 Members in sharing their resources countywide. Millvale residents now have direct access to all of the resources including downloadable books, audios, and videos as well as online databases.

Library Director Lisa Seel was assisted by the eiNetwork staff, who helped facilitate ILS integration and network connectivity, and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh staff, who helped coordinate item conversion. ACLA staff has worked with the Library Board to clarify system processes and procedures. In addition, a number of local libraries have provided equipment, training and general support and counsel, most notably the Shaler North Hills Library.

Congratulations to the Millvale Library staff, board, and supporters for their success in overcoming many obstacles and their tenacious commitment in bringing library services to the local community.
