Northland Public Library, a busy suburban library in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh, is seeking a Full-time Technical Services Department Manager.
The Technical Services Department Manager performs professional library work in the development and delivery of quality collection records for the purpose of managing and providing public access and discovery of the physical and electronic collections. The primary functions of the Technical Services Department Manager include supervising 7 staff members, overseeing department workflows, managing cataloging and processing policies and procedures, and allocating resources.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and organizational skills, love learning and be able to manage new methodologies to solve problems and improve efficiency. S/he will also thrive in a fast-paced environment, working with staff and volunteers, vendors and the board of directors.

Federal Criminal Background Check<>, PA Criminal Record Check<>, and PA Child Abuse History Clearance<> required upon offer of employment. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes daytime, evening and weekend hours. Experience using the Sierra Integrated Library System is a plus. Experience using RDA is also a plus.

This is a Full-time exempt position with a starting annual salary of $48,000.00, and includes healthcare, paid sick leave, vacation and holidays as well as a retirement plan.
