Children’s Librarian PT (Mt. Lebanon Public Library)

Mt. Lebanon Public Library is accepting applications for a Part-Time Youth Services Librarian through 5 pm on Monday, April 7. We are looking for candidates who love interacting with children, teens, and families and are excited to work as part of an innovative, creative Children’s Library team in a very busy library, with robust after-school and weekend crowds and a hefty programming and outreach schedule.

Our mission: Mt. Lebanon Public Library (MLPL) will provide for all patrons an inclusive, welcoming environment of intellectual enrichment, creativity and enjoyment, and a forum to exchange ideas by providing top-tier programs, materials, services, and community support.

Mt. Lebanon is a vibrant walking community of 34,000 in six square miles in the South Hills of Pittsburgh (Allegheny County). Our library is open seven days a week and stands directly across from a middle school and an elementary school.

Applicants are required to have a Master’s Degree in Library Science and at least one year of experience working with children under 12 years of age. Previous experience working in libraries is helpful but not a requirement.
