Job Summary: The Coordinator of Children’s & Teen Programming leads the identification, planning, delivery, and evaluation of innovative, high-quality programs and events for children, teens and their adults throughout the city of Pittsburgh for the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. They provide systemwide, strategic vision in identifying and implementing ways library programming can increase access to learning, while positively impacting the social and emotional lives of youth (birth to 18). The Coordinator builds connections, collaborations, and partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders that ensure community input and engagement in program design. The Coordinator is a leader in developing program outcomes and frameworks that support the success of youth and their adults.

Position in the Organization: The Coordinator of Children’s & Teen Programming will work as a part of the Office of Programmatic Services under the direction of the Library Administrator of Children’s & Teen Services. Through extensive collaboration with children and teen staff across the system, the Coordinator will identify and build on current successful programming models and develop new models to ensure a continuum of quality programming opportunities across all library locations and outreach sites. They will lead the development of formal, informal, live, and virtual programs that provide positive outcomes for youth and their adults.

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Compensation:  $60,000-$65,000
