Job Summary: The Delivery Services Supervisor manages all aspects and activities related to materials delivery to ensure effective operations and efficient distribution to/from all library locations in the Pittsburgh District (Allegheny County). Reports directly to the Library Services Manager- Materials Movement to ensure system-wide adoption of CLP Service Standards and related circulation policies.
The Delivery Services Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and development of all delivery staff, quality control for materials handling, and operation and maintenance of the department’s vehicle fleet. Participates in active communication with all CLP and county library staff regarding scheduling and reporting. Performs a wide variety of complex logistical tasks, supports interlibrary loan and materials sorting functions, supervises, supports, and advocates for staff.
