Job description
Oversees circulation duties and marketing on social media platforms, Part-time, 10-15 hours a week (2 days a week + 1 Saturday a month). Primary duties include:
- Checking in/out of library materials
- Registering patrons
- Handling fines and fees
- Assisting patrons with basic computer questions/tasks
- Answering directional, procedural and programming questions
- Fulfilling item requests for patrons
- Retrieving items from book drop
- Making phone calls as needed
- Reshelving materials
- Opening/closing duties
- Using copy and fax machines
- Provide updates re: issues arise during shift
- Assist with some marketing duties (creating Facebook and Instagram posts)
- Works on additional administrative projects, during slow times, as needed
Qualifications:
- High School graduate; preferred college graduate (majoring in, or majored, in Education, Library Science, Social Sciences etc.)
- Experience with MS OFFICE products (excel, word, publisher, etc)
- Experience with (or a quick learner!) posting photos to Facebook and Instagram
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must enjoy working with persons from all age groups.
- Enjoys learning; takes suggestions and directions well, detail oriented.
- All clearances must be provided at time of hire
