State of the County at Northland Public Library

On September 27th, County Executive Rich Fitzgerald addressed the State of the County at Northland Public Library.

The event was moderated by County Councilman and ACLA Board Member Tom Baker, and featured a question and answer session with the County Executive and Councilman. The assembled audience learned about developments with the Pittsburgh Airport, potential changes at Port Authority, and the pitch to bring Amazon to Pittsburgh. Fitzgerald also highlighted the growth of the tech field and need for skilled labor that are helping with retention of residents and driving the need for growth in the region. County Councilwoman Cindy Kirk and State Senator Randy Vulakovich also attended.

Shaler North Hills Library 75th Anniversary

County Councilman Ed Kress sponsored a proclamation to recognize and congratulate the Shaler North Hills Library on its 75th Anniversary. County Council commended the library on their many accomplishments and thanked all those involved as trustees, staff, friends and volunteers through the years for their dedication and commitment to the community. Library Director Sharon McRae attended the September 12th Council Meeting to accept the proclamation on behalf of the library.
