Technology & Programming Librarian (Northern Tier Library )

 

Are you a tech-savvy and creative individual who truly enjoys working with people? Do you have a passion for libraries and their role as a vital community resource? The Northern Tier Library is seeking a full-time librarian to oversee technology needs, plan adult programming, provide excellent service to our patrons, and collaborate with our library team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as liaison to eiNetwork in managing system computers
  • Create/update and maintain library website
  • Develop, coordinate and present adult programming consistent with community needs
  • Provide instruction for patrons in the use of the library catalog and databases, online searches, and assistance with mobile devices
  • Cover reference desk to assist patrons with questions and provide resources
  • Share in collection development responsibility for adult non-fiction
  • Help staff the library’s branch location in the Pine-Richland High School


About You:

  • Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with patrons, staff and the community
  • Ability to use workplace technology effectively, including email, databases, video conferencing, social media, and other software
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and self-impose deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate with other staff members in library-wide programs and initiatives


Qualifications:

  • MLS from an accredited university preferred but not required
  • Library experience required; knowledge of Sierra preferred
  • Applicant must provide Act 34 Criminal Record Check, Act 151 Child Abuse History and FBI Fingerprint Clearances upon offer of employment

 

Schedule: Daytime, evening, and weekend hours

Compensation: Salary based on experience. Paid vacation, sick leave, and health insurance provided
