Are you looking for an opportunity that allows you to be part of the Hampton Community and contribute to a child’s love of books and reading? Are you committed to providing top notch library service to babies through adults using both technology and traditional means? We are looking for you!
We’re seeking a highly motivated, creative ideas person who has an overwhelming enthusiasm for working with children in the library and throughout the school district! Someone who possesses outstanding customer service skills, is outgoing with a sense of humor and has the ability to work as a team member as well as on their own is a great candidate. Experience in youth programming and outreach services are a must as well as the ability to create magic out of nothing. Extra consideration will be given to applicants who can mesmerize peers, inspire the cynical, and overcome the impossible all within a 16 – 20 hour work week.
We prefer past work with an education, non-profit or library setting, MLIS preferred but it’s not required. There will be flexible scheduling including some weekend and evening hours. Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Policy Criminal Record Check and FBI fingerprint based background check are required upon offer of employment.
Do you see yourself contributing to HCL? We hope so and we would love to hear from you. When submitting your resume please include your answer to this one question:
If you had to pick your favorite, (just one) picture book what would it be and why?
Please send your resume and letter of interest to Suzanna Krispli at firstname.lastname@example.org.
