Compensation: Starting salary at $59,450, with COLA and step increases at 12, 24, and 36 months, plus benefits
DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for a motivated and creative self-starter with a passion for public library service to join our team! Serving an active engaged community of 34,000 in the South Hills, our full-time Senior Services Librarian will develop a diverse range of exciting opportunities for our senior patrons, including bus trips, speakers, wellness programs, hands-on learning, senior STEM, and outreach to community partners. Additionally, librarians in this position contribute to our diverse and dynamic materials collection, provide reader’s advisory and reference, and collaborate with other librarians on library- and community-wide initiatives and large events.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have completed a Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited college or university.
- Candidates with prior professional library experience will receive special consideration.
- Evening and weekend availability is required. The library is open seven days a week.
- All positions that work with children require all three CHILD CLEARANCES and Mandated Reporter Training be obtained prior to the first day of work. Successful candidates will be reimbursed after 30 days of work.
