Allegheny County libraries have hundreds of events every month: book clubs, story times, movie nights, STEAM programs, crafternoons, author talks, and more! Now it’s easier than ever to see all the exciting programs our libraries offer. ACLA is pleased to present LibraryCalendar, a new program calendar service to connect library patrons with the right programs for them. LibraryCalendar, created by software and design firm LibraryMarket, is a responsive, fully integrated event and room management system for libraries.
Each library has their own individual calendar for their programs and events. Visit your local library’s website to see what’s happening in your neighborhood!
Find just the right program for you
Looking for a specific kind of program? There’s a filter for that! Filter programs by age group, program type, or library branch, or search by keyword. With color coded categories, it’s easy to see what events you might be interested in at a glance. Filtered calendar views can also be easily printed.
Register and get reminder emails
Never forget a library program again! You can also now add events directly from the event page to your personal calendar. LibraryCalendar’s integrated registration system will send you a confirmation email when you’ve registered and a reminder when the program date is coming up. Library staff can email program attendees directly with updates in case of changes or cancellation. It’s easy to manage multiple registrations, too! Register the whole family for story time all summer with just a few clicks.
Reserve a library meeting space or study room
Whether you’re studying solo or holding a 50-person meeting, there’s a library space for you. Booking a room is easy with LibraryCalendar’s room reservation features. Patrons can see when a particular room is available, or search all available spaces at a certain time, and make their reservation online.
Mobile-friendly
The new library calendar looks great on your phone. With a responsive design and clean, modern interface, it’s easy to look up library programs while you’re on the go.
