Hello! My name is Nadia Waller, and I’m a senior at the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in Marketing ! These past couple of months, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to work as a Social Media and Communications Intern for the Allegheny County Library Association (ACLA). Through this role, I was able to combine my love for creativity, digital media, and libraries into one awesome experience!

Now, what did I do? A little bit of everything! I curated Genre of the Month posts to help readers dive into a variety of books, made borrowing even more fun with the Thursday Things to Borrow series, and put a romance novel twist on fundraising with #LoveYourLibrary. I also got hands-on with tools like Hootsuite, Survey Monkey, and Canva to keep ACLA’s social media running smoothly.

This internship isn’t just about scheduling posts, it was about bringing library magic to social media, making resources more accessible, and (hopefully!) getting more people excited about their local libraries. Huge thanks to ACLA for letting me be part of this mission, I’ve already learned so much, and I can’t wait to take these skills into my future career!
